At a steal of only $26 this hat offers UV protection (UPF of 50+), an adjustable velcro closure, spot for your ponytail, reflection .... and it folds-up for easy storage and easily places in your gym bag, purse or luggage. This would also make a nice hiking hat, as it can easily be stored in your backpack until you need to use it. If you like to travel with a lot of hats, this would be a great way to go without taking up to much space in your suitcase. It's also super lightweight at weighing in at only .2 ounces. While wearing it, the foldable seam and brim don't look "awkward" while its on your head. It just looks like a seam.
Like the other TrailHeads products, the race day performance running cap is made of moisture-wicking fabric and dries up quickly. It will be great for those upcoming, sweaty summer workouts. Think of adding it to your upcoming half marathon or ultra run.

I also was able to try three colors of the TrailHeads Race Day Performance Running Cap. It's a lightweight sports cap made especially for Women. I am wearing white, seafoam green and coral. These were sold in a pack of three hats for just under $60. Lots of variety in color! Who doesn't like to get a little matchy-matchy with their workout gear??!!
These mesh hats dry up quickly on my runs as they are designed from wicking fabric. They also wash and dry-up well. I simply placed them in both a washer and dryer in cold water in a zipped lingerie bag, to prevent the adjustable velcro from sticking on other clothing.
The trim is also reflective which will make it nice for those early morning and evening runs this spring and summer. I didn't notice until later that underneath the brim, there is a darker fabric so that your face is shielded even further from the sun and glare - pretty neat!
I like these TrailHeads hats just as much as I liked the winter options I tested. It will be nice to get these out more, now that the weather is warming up a bit and I won't needed the added fleece of the winter hats.
