If you struggle with foot or heel pain - like I do - then you know it's a constantly struggle to feel comfortable when moving both outdoors and indoors. Transitioning to cooler temperatures at home has meant that I know have my flannel pajamas on and my cozy moccassin slippers in the evenings and on the weekends. When I'm not in my workout gear, this is my "at home uniform". However, since my plantar fasciitis has really been flaring up this season - it's been difficult to wear my regular slippers in the house. They are all cozy - but offer absolutely no support or comfort. I was landing flat footed and it was getting difficult to get up and walk to the bathroom at night or I'd struggle while washing dishes.

I was sent the KURU Loft Slipper to review. These are just like me cheap, mocassin slippers that I've loved - but they offer SO much more support. They are the perfect blend of slipper and running shoe. They have become my go-to house shoe. It's like you're wearing your favorite pair of sneakers, with the warmth and and coziness of a fuzzy slipper. I didn't think that you could blend the two into one piece of footwear - but KURU has done it.

Since these also have a nice sole and bottom on them, you can also wear them out to the mailbox, to walk the dog and on errands if the roads and sidewalks aren't wet or slick. Technically you could still wear them outside, but I'd hate to get them dirty or ruin the suede and faux-fur material. You don't know how many times I've run car errands through drive-thrus or picked up and dropped kids off in my pajamas and slippers! These are perfect for that this winter.

Other than the blend of sturdy sole and comfy inside - I am in love withe the 11mm heel drop. Taking all of that pressure off of my heels have made all the difference for me and honestly make that nagging early morning heel pain (when it's the most awful with plantar fasciitis) a little more tolerable.

At 12.7 ounces, these are a lot heavier than the other slippers you might have laying around. But your feet will honestly love them a whole lot more. They were a little clunky at first, but I think that may be just the change in footwear in addition to my big, size ten feet! Like the KURU Flux running shoe, I found these a little roomy. Knowing that, I still ordered myself a size ten - fearing anything smaller may cause additional discomfort elsewhere on my foot or toebox.

I chose the soft pink slipper. But KURU offers two additonal colors for women: a darker java brown and a lighter chestnut brown. They also offer them for men, too.

Since I work from the studio more than I am at home, I even brought them along with me to wear throughout the day during breaks and deskwork. They have been great for keeping me comfortable - and warm, too. As I keep the studio cooler for my clients. These would also be a great addition to your day if you are a remote worker from home.

These will make a great gift for that loved runner in your life that needs some more comfort on those feet that they need to baby during the off season. And if you have an older adult, parent or friend who has nagging heel pain, these would make a very thoughtful gift under the tree this year.
