The duo has an assortment of massage guns available in their online store. But, I was sent the C2 Heat + Ice Massage Gun. I have three massage guns at home in my rotation -- and this quickly rose to my favorite device. Suffering chronicly now from plantar fasciitis, shin splints and extremely tight calves, this massage gun with its variety of attachments and heating and cooling mechnisms is helping my chronic pain a bit.
It's also currently on sale on Amazon for 20% off your online order.
Of the four standard massage attachments, I especially love the foam ball and the achilles attachment. These are great for my tight calves and my ankle soreness. I love switching between the two on the lower settings.
This device is like no other, as you can conveniently use the cold and heat mechanisms for applying cold and heat therapy to sore areas and acute and chronic injuries. After the device is USB-charged you can easily switch between the two presets. There are no questions when using this device, whether its on, workng and doign what it should do. All of the indicators take all of the guessing out of it during use.
This device does make some noise obviously. But it is much quieter than the other massage guns that I own, making a lot easier to multi-task while reading or watching television with the family.
I have had other percussion massagers turn off FREQUENTLY during use, even though they are fully charged. I have found that the more pressure I give the other massagers to the area, the easier some devices will shut-off on their own. I have not experienced that with this massage gun. It has five different speed settings and I haven't had to apply any extra force on my own to find the preferred (intense) massage for my sore areas. In fact, level 2 or 3 has been my max range for my most sore areas. Other massagers have kept me guessing what pressure level I am using, giving only a few lights or absolutely no indicator to indicate the level of intensity.
The seven piece set comes with a very nice carrying case, that has made it easy for me to transition from massages at home to the park to my studio. There is a convenient handle and accessory pocket on the bag as well. It makes it extremely easy to keep all of the pieces together.
I am hoping that by continuing my own physical therapy exercises, reducing my training volume and with more consistence use of this particular massage gun this spring; that my shin splints and plantar fasciitis will be completely gone by summer.
