Are you interested in walking the Lake Monona loop? This 12 mile loop meanders around one of Madison, Wisconsin’s beautiful lakes, through the unique Atwood and Monona neighborhoods and beaches and along John Nolen Drive and the iconic Monona Terrace. With a mixture of paved bike trails, sidewalks and neighborhood roads this route is truly a memorable experience that you will never forget.

This ten week program will set you up for success, starting with efficient, twenty minute walks - with four workouts per week. After ten weeks you will be completing the route’s distance of 12 miles, by walking approximately 3-4.5 hours non-stop at your own pace. This is not a customized program, but is easy to follow. Participants will also receive a packet of resources and tips for new and seasoned walkers on hydrating, stretching, injury prevention and more. This program also includes packing tips for your hike and other resources to make your hike safe and memorable.

This program also includes weekly text accountability check-ins from a certified running coach.
