Ladies Couch to 5k – Sun Prairie

Are you interested in running your first 5K? Join Jamie Adcock, Madison's Running Diva Mom, for this gentle introduction to running. Jamie's program slowly and painlessly prepares your mind and body to run the 5K distance (3.1 miles) in a supportive community environment with other women. You'll start off alternating between walking and running small distances (one minute), and slowly build up endurance over the course of ten weeks, so that you're ready to run 5 kilometers - or 30-45 minutes non-stop. This group will be training for our group’s own 5K event at the last class on Orfan Park. This program also includes injury prevention and stretching information.

First class will meet at Orfan Park in Sun Prairie. We will rotate various Sun Prairie parks and trails the weeks that follow.
